We’ve got our work cut out for us.
If you’ve ever visited the Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area you’ve most likely noticed a cute little rustic house in the distance, as you drive in. This is that cute little house up close today.
Named Harmony Hollow, Jeffrey Cross started construction in the 1970s and was an original founder of the Cave Creek Craft Council which would later go on to be the Sonoran Arts League.
Jeffrey went missing in 1977 and his brother, Bradley Cross, took over construction. It’s been home to many artists, and wandering travelers.
The last artist left in 2019 when it went up for sale, and now we’re the new stewards, with plans to restore it to a place where artists (and others) can enjoy it again.
We’ve heard so many stories about Harmony Hollow and I often think, “If these walls could talk!” I’m not always so sure I want to know, but there is a lot of local history here! We can’t wait to share it all.
