I have an ongoing love affair with rocks. If I could, I would take them all home with me.

I know you’re not supposed to do that, but I will admit that when I’m walking around my “yard” at the Stamp Mill or Harmony Hollow I cannot resist a little heart-shaped rock.

Some are safe because they’re just too big. I draw my limit at about pocket-size, or, “how big can Steve carry” size.

I also enjoy snapping a quick picture when I know there is way more beneath what the ground has revealed to me.

You can also find them in the form of the tip of a boulder poking up through the creek as it starts to recede for the season.

It seems to have rubbed off on the family because now, they’re always pointing out their heart finds to me.
It’s a good example of, whatever you are looking for, you will find more of. Let there be more looking for hearts!
