Jeffrey Cross Memorial Scholarship

The Jeff Cross Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of artist and bellmaker Jeff Cross, who built the original Harmony Hollow house and stidop, and helped shape the creative spirit of Cave Creek. When Lori and Steve Greenberg purchased Harmony Hollow, they agreed to carry on the scholarship in his name, supporting young artists through the Sonoran Arts League. The award reflects a continued commitment to nurturing creativity and honoring the artistic roots of this historic desert home.

Harmony Hollow: It’s the Right Thing to Do

Nina Spitzer details how, in March 2021, Steve and Lori Greenberg purchased Harmony Hollow to protect it from development, igniting a preservation journey spanning 36 acres adjacent to the Spur Cross Conservation Area. Originally built by bellmaker Jeff Cross in the 1970s, the home became an impromptu artist retreat.
